DSPS Students Win Prize at CUHK Data Hack 2025

We are pleased to share that the CUHK Data Hack 2025, co-organized by the Data Science and Policy Studies (DSPS) Programme under the School of Governance and Policy Science, was successfully held from 28 February to 2 March 2025 at the CUHK University Library.

With the theme “Data Solutions for Social Good,” the event encouraged innovative thinking aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG-3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG-9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG-11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG-13 (Climate Action). The hackathon aimed to promote data and digital competency, while enhancing multi-disciplinary collaboration among CUHK students and staff.

We are proud to announce that Team Aeternum, which includes Mr. Chyngyz KUMARBEK UULU and Mr. Tsz Hin TSANG from the DSPS Programme, was awarded 1st Runner-up for their innovative project titled “AI Hiking Trail.” The team also included Mr. Yeuk Lun HUNG from the Department of Information Engineering.
