I am grateful for the rigorous training in evidence-based policy analysis that I received from MPUP. Combining courses in economics, statistics and policy evaluation with case-based discussions on Hong Kong and regional issues sharpened my ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. MPUP equipped me with practical tools, such as quantitative data analysis, cost–benefit frameworks and policy writing, that I now use daily at work. As a policy researcher, the MPUP programme has been instrumental in shaping my expertise. Not only learning a wide range of academic knowledge, MPUP also trains my analytical and critical thinking skills which can be applied practically. The interactions between classmates, professors and guest speakers are especially precious to me. Their diverse background and willingness to share have enabled me to explore different policy issues from multiple perspectives and broadened my horizons. I deeply believe that the learning experiences in MPUP can inspire me to go forward and strengthen my capability to serve the community.
